A Delegation of Papua New Guinea Visits IRLA Leaders

On Thursday November 6, 2013, a delegation from Papua New Guinea met the IRLA Secretary General and several board members at the Silver Spring headquarters. The delegation was led by The Honorable Gibbs Salika, Deputy Chief Justice at the National Judiciary of Papua New Guinea, accompanied by his wife. The delegation included the Director of the Centre for Judicial Excellence Mrs. Regina Sagu and the Charge d’affaires and acting Ambassador, Mr. Elias Wohengu.

The discussion was focused on the legal aspect of religious freedom in the US and the state of religious freedom in Papua New Guinea.   The project of a large festival organized by the IRLA, December 4 to 7, 2014 in Port Moresby, was welcomed by the delegation. “Papua New Guinea” said Dr. Graz, “has been a land of pluralism and religious freedom.” The festival will celebrate this precious freedom by inviting all believers for a large meeting. Experts and religious leaders will be invited to an International Symposium and a Liberty Concert.
